Capcom has announced that its two launch titles for Nintendo Switch 2, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of Goddess and Street Fighter 6 Year 1-2 Fighters Edition are up for pre-order now, digitally.
Interestingly, there’s a few tidbits of info that, while not hidden until now, hadn’t been overly publicised. Notably, that Kunitsu-Gami: Path of Goddess will have mouse controls to allow for even more methods of control.
Here’s the details on the Switch 2 editions of those games:
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of Goddess
- Extra Content: Releasing as a free update, “Otherworldly Venture” will allow you experience action and strategy in a new way on the Nintendo Switch 2. Stay tuned for details.
- More Ways to Play: Experience action and strategy anywhere – Nintendo Switch 2 version will support all portable, table and TV modes
- Mouse Controls: Alongside controllers, the Nintendo Switch 2 version will support intuitive mouse controls to offer more varied playstyles
Street Fighter 6 Year 1-2 Fighters Edition
- Exclusive Switch 2 Modes: Enjoy Gyro Battles and Calorie Contests built specifically for the Joy-Con 2.
- All in One: This edition includes all Year 1 & 2 Characters, stages, and Outfit 1 colours 3-10 for all 18 original characters
- Joy-Con vs Joy-Con: Share your second Joy-Con to fight against the person next to you (support all three controller types)
- New amiibo: Three new amiibo figures and 22 amiibo cards will be available from launch featuring in-game functionality for supported characters
It’s worth noting that Street Fighter 6 Year 1-2 Fighters Edition will also be released on all other platforms, but won’t include those new Switch 2 modes (Gyro Battles, Calorie Contests).
We went hands-on with the Switch 2 recently and said: “I was sure of a few things, going into the hands-on. I was sure that I wouldn’t come away wanting to replay Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild. I was wrong. I was sure I didn’t want the new GameCube controller. Oh boy I was wrong. I was absolutely certain that, given I own two Pro Controllers, adding a C-button wasn’t going to make me shell out £75 on a Pro Controller 2 for Switch 2. Three for three, Nintendo, and well played.
The Switch 2 is close, but not close enough. From the games, to the hardware, the updated functionality, and the better components that make load times so much shorter, Nintendo is onto an absolute barnstorming winner, here. I didn’t throw my OLED in the bin, but it no”
Nintendo Switch 2 launches on June 5th.
