Monster Hunter Wilds Inventory

With the latest Monster Hunter game providing more opportunity to stay out on hunts than ever before, it’s more important than ever before to keep on top of your Monster Hunter Wilds Inventory. You’ll want to make sure you’re stocked up with equipment as you move from quest to quest, as you’ll soon be short on essential items as you batter monsters into submission. Not only that, but it’s now possible to adapt on the fly to the ever-changing conditions with the opportunity to change weapons without ever having to return to base camp. Here’s our handy guide on changing your inventory whilst exploring the world of Monster Hunter Wilds.

Switching up your Weapons

Before leaving on each hunt, take a moment at base camp to choose which two weapons you’d like available whilst out on a quest, maybe a hammer for an up close and personal melee option and an insect glaive for a more nimble, airborne based attack method for example. Whilst in the Base Camp menu in your personal hut, the equipment menu has an option to change equipment. It’s here that you can select your chosen primary and secondary weapons. Whilst out in the open world, it’s a simple press on the right of the D-pad that will call over your Seikret and switch between your two weapons of choice, allowing adaptability to any situation as required.

Monster Hunter Wilds Inventory | How to Restock your supplies

After a few quests, you’ll often find yourself short of the necessary items required to continue to hunt but rather than return to base camp to re-supply, it’s possible to go to a pop-up camp and tool up from there, saving precious hunting time. You can either manually ride to these camps if you are in the vicinity, select them as a waypoint from the map screen to allow your Seikret to ride you there in comfort or, if hard pressed for time, use the fast travel option from the map to instantly spawn at these homes from home to grab what you need before continuing on.
Nip in to the hut and you can fill up on much needed provisions,as well as change armour or weapons where required. It’s a convenient way to keep your inventory topped up with much needed supplies.

Mid hunt, you’ll also be provided with a few basic items such as potions (for health regeneration) or rations (for stamina regeneration) by the Guild, known as supply items. Whilst out on a hunt, you may see a notification that these supply items have been provided, sometimes restocked numerous times throughout the quest. Rather than returning to a chest to retrieve these as per previous entries in the Monster Hunter series, these can be accessed with a press of the left D-pad, providing much needed provisions on the fly, opening a menu to allow these goodies to be added to your personal inventory.

So, that’s how you change your Monster Hunter Wilds Inventory whilst traversing the open world environments. For more handy tips and guides for Monster Hunter Wilds, such as endemic life lists, armour and weapon tips plus much more, why not pay a visit to our other extensive guides.
