Assassin’s Creed Shadows has a huge map. Throughout the story, Naoe and Yasuke travel across some stunning environments. As gorgeous as it is, travelling across Japan can take a lot of time. From huge castles, open plains, temples, and mountains, the protagonists have a hell of a lot of journeying to do. Thankfully, there are a few ways to fast travel in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. We’ve put together a guide to show you how and make those journeys just that little bit easier.
Viewpoints
Climbing viewpoints are a stable in Assassin’s Creed games, and here is no different. There are plenty scattered across the world. Once ascended, these viewpoints can then be used as fast travel points in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Some are rather high up. Thankfully, jumping off into a hay bale is still a worthwhile option. Unlike points of interest represented by question marks, these are always highlighted by the white eagle icon. It’s not the perfect method of fast travel, but luckily there is another way.
Kakuregas
Kakuregas are places often found in cities and towns where Naoe and Yasuke can refill supplies, view contracts, change allies, and more. They are also available to be used as fast travel points in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Once discovered, a small amount of mon (currency) will need to be spent to actually use them. Often 800 mon is the cost, and once spent it appears yellow on your map. This now means that not only are viewpoints useable as fast travel points, but these useful locations are as well.
