The latest season in Fortnite is focused solely on Star Wars. Epic Games has put a lot of effort into steady progression in Galactic Battle, with new features and quests being added over the entire season. At present, there’re a selection of Story Quests to complete. On top of that is the option to gain light side and dark side alignment.
When you first jump in, this isn’t explained particularly well. As to how it affects the main story of the season, we know very little at present. However, if it is light side alignment in Fortnite Star Wars you want, here’s how to gain it.
Complete the light side alignment-specific quests
By completing light side alignment quests in Fortnite Star Wars, you earn valuable XP. As you complete some of these quests, new ones will reappear. It may seem obvious, but doing anything to aid the Resistance and Rebellion is what is necessary. The varying quests are straightforward, but as you check them off, you’ll see your alignment to the light side increase in the quest menu. So far, these are the quests we’ve found for players to complete in order to gain light side alignment in the Fortnite Star Wars season.
- Visit 3 Revel Outposts – simply wander into a Rebel Outpost. There’s another version of this quest where you thank the bus driver before landing in a Rebel Outpost. Tag the quest and the locations become available on your map.
- Defeat Samurai Darth Vader or Captain Phasma – one of two enemies, it isn’t as easy as it seems, but do this and your light side alignment will increase in Fortnite Star Wars.
- Learn light side abilities from a Training Rift Gate twice – these appear on the map as a blue icon with a white lightsaber icon in the middle. Simply interact with Rey Skywalker and you’ll enter a gate to acquire a lightsaber.
- Block or attack with a Jedi lightsaber 15 times – as described, just go out and put it to use.
- Travel 1,000 metres at a Rebel Outpost or Resistance base.
- Search 5 containers at a Rebel Outpost or Resistance Base.
- Land at a Rebel Outpost or Resistance base then eliminate 10 players.
- Destroy 50 structures at Vader’s Samurai Solitude – one of the quickest ways to do this is by hopping in the nearby TIE Fighter to the left of the main building, or by collecting Thermal Imploders and blowing them up that way.
