Coffee Stain Publishing and developer She Was Such a Good Horse has announced that action roguelike title Into The Unwell is no longer hitting early access in 2026.
Instead, the developer says the team won’t be using early access for Into the Unwell, and will instead release the full game in 2027. This, and a lot more information can be heard in the new documentary trailer. The long and the short of it, though, is that Coffee Stain Publishing has invested more into the game, allowing for this development time to happen, instead of early access.
“Throwing more money at Into The Unwell makes total business sense for Coffee Stain. By doing so we stick to our long and proud tradition of investing in games featuring weird animals. It mostly hasn’t backfired.” said Anton Westbergh, CEO of Coffee Stain Group.

Like every dev crew running on dreams and a healthy amount of audacity, we’re hell-bent on dropping a full game that’s as good as we can possibly make it when we actually launch.”

Into the Unwell is coming in 2027 to PC via Steam.
