Shueisha Games and Acrobatic Chirimenjako has announced the release date for narrative adventure Schrödinger’s Call on PC and Switch, and it’s coming on May 28th.
To celebrate this news, the developer has put out a new trailer for Schrödinger’s Call Chapter 1, and also confirmed that if you’re attending BitSummit PUNCH later this month, you can play an “exclusive playable build of Chapter 3 for the very first time”.
Developed by Acrobatic Chirimenjako, Schrödinger’s Call is an emotional visual novel adventure that unfolds like an illustrated storybook, exploring grief, connection and the hope of being heard. Set in the final 21 nanoseconds before a moon crashes into Earth and ends all life, players follow Mary, a girl who awakens in a strange room with no memory of who she is or how she arrived there. Guided by a mysterious cat named Hamlet, Mary becomes the world’s final listener, answering calls from strangers caught between life and death through an old telephone.
Each call reveals personal stories of love, pain, solace and words left unsaid, while players slowly uncover the truth behind Mary herself. With theatrical presentation, intimate storytelling, and warm, picture book-inspired visuals, Schrödinger’s Call is a reflective experience about the pain and salvation of human connection, where every voice, memory, and regret carries weight in the final moments before the end.
The free demo including Chapter 1 is on Steam now, and the Nintendo Store page has also gone live now, too.
The publisher behind games like Urban Myth Dissolution Center and Chronoscript added:
The Japanese version of the newly revealed Schrödinger’s Call Chapter 1 preview trailer also features special promotional voice performances from acclaimed voice actors Kana Ichinose (Violet Evergarden, Demon Slayer) as Mary and Rei Sakuma (Dragon Ball Z, Sailor Moon) as Hamlet, bringing the game’s central duo vividly to life for fans ahead of the launch. These voice performances are exclusive to promotional materials and not included in the game itself. Additional chapter trailers will be released on an ongoing basis – stay tuned to Shueisha Games’ official channels for updates.
Schrödinger’s Call is coming to PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch on May 28th.
