Monster Hunter Wilds Congalala | How to beat
General Info
Name: Congalala
Monster Type: Fanged Beast
Known Habitats: Forest, Wyveria
Characteristics:
Large fanged beasts with pink fur and a distinct crest, which the males sculpt with plant oils and juices as a sign of virility. Congalala are common in temperate forests and are therefore well researched. They’re big eaters and love mushrooms, which they absorb and then exhale as a variety of potent breaths that inflict poison, blast, paralysis, and more.
Special Attack: Minor Tremor, Poison, Paralysis, Blastblight, Stench.
Strategy
Weak Point: Rear
Breakables: Foreleg x2, Head, Tail
Tail Sever: No
Helpful Hints:
So the first thing you may have noticed is the amount of different statuses that Congalala can inflict courtesy of either his breath or farts. Thankfully, most of the time this only inflicts Stench, which can be removed with a Deodorant (check your supplies). However, be prepared in case you get poisoned too. Keeping to the side of Congalala therefore is advised to avoid frankly, the stench from either end. However, it moves quickly, so you will need to too. Also, try and avoid being surrounded by the smaller Conga monsters as well, as they can easily stun lock you if you’re not careful. Thankfully wayward damage strikes from, say, Dual Blades or a Longsword will likely also damage these smaller creatures, leaving them dead in no time.
Weaknesses
Weapons: Focus your weapons (all types are very strong) on the Head, Forelegs, and Tail

Elements: Fire or ice-element weapons are the most effective.
Status Effects: All status effects are relatively effective against Congalala
